What is the plot sale process?

The plot sales transaction process in the UK is relatively straight-forward. Once you have found a plot of land that you are interested in purchasing, your conveyancer will be able to help you with the purchase process.

We will firstly carry out all of the necessary searches on the property, to check for any potential problems that could arise. They will also draft up the contract of sale, and once both parties are happy with the agreement, they will exchange contracts

Once the contracts have been exchanged, you will usually have a period of time (usually around 28 days) to arrange funding for the purchase. Once the funding is in place, your conveyancer will arrange for completion of the sale.

Once completion has taken place, the plot of land is officially yours! Your conveyancer will then register the plot in your name at the Land Registry, and you will receive the title deeds.

The whole process usually takes around 8-12 weeks from start to finish, although this can vary depending on a number of factors
