James Clarke

James is an experienced solicitor who joined John Barkers Solicitors Limited in 2017 in a senior role. He is a Director and the Head of Commercial across the business and predominantly deals with commercial property matters in addition to commercial / corporate transactions. He also has a wealth of experience dealing with various aspects of residential conveyancing.

James read law at Nottingham Trent University and undertook the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School simultaneously with working full time at a large regional law firm. He completed his training with a local firm and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. He has a background in Dispute Resolution specialising in insolvency law before retraining post-qualification.

James has a wide portfolio of experience having dealt with matters including share sales and purchases, business sales and purchases, commercial property sales and purchases, commercial leases and bank security work. He utilises this experience to the advantage of his clients in whatever matter he accepts instructions on.

James has a reputation of ensuring a high level of client service, always looking to meet and exceed the expectations of his clients. He prides himself on his communication skills and the strong relationships he builds.

In his spare time James is a keen runner who enjoys a game of 5-a-aside. He is also a proud season ticket holder of Grimsby Town FC.
