Howard was admitted as a solicitor in 1989 and since then has practiced in crime, employment, family and child protection law. He is also a trained family mediator but doesn’t currently practice as such. He has been a member of the Children Panel for over 30 years and this is his principal area of practice today. He is our senior partner and has been the chair of the board of John Barkers Solicitors Ltd since we were incorporated. Howard is a highly experienced child advocate and has represented parents, children and young people on numerous occasions in the Family Court and higher courts. He is passionate about giving young people the best start in life and promoting the interests of the excluded, be this because of age, social deprivation, race, gender or sexuality.
Jonathan Stones is a highly experienced and skilled solicitor with over a decade of experience in the field of conveyancing. He is currently the Director and Head of Conveyancing at John Barkers Solicitors, where he leads a team of solicitors and legal assistants in providing expert guidance and advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
Adrian has specialised in Family Law matters for over 20 years, offering advice and representation in divorce and separation cases including those relating child arrangements and finances. Adrian has extensive experience in dealing with financial cases of high value including where there are complex business and pension issues. Adrian also advises on and drafts Pre-Nuptial agreements.
In addition to his legal practice, Adrian is an experienced Family Mediator, accredited by the Family Mediation Council Accredited to mediate in cases where there are child arrangement and/or financial disputes. He is able to undertake privately funded mediations.
Studying locally at King Edward VI Grammar School of Louth, Tracey has strong local connections. She studied at Derby University obtaining he law degree before studying for her legal practice course. During this time she worked within John Barkers Solicitors Limited and has been with the firm since 2002.
Tracey has been appointed a Director of John Barkers since 2022. She is the Head of Conveyancing for John Barkers Solicitors Limited
James is an experienced solicitor who joined John Barkers Solicitors Limited in 2017 in a senior role. He is a Director and the Head of Commercial across the business and predominantly deals with commercial property matters in addition to commercial / corporate transactions. He also has a wealth of experience dealing with various aspects of residential conveyancing.
Catherine qualified in a solicitor in 2006 after studying for her Degree in Law and German at Keele University (with a year at the University of Frankfurt) and LPC at the University of Sheffield. Since then, she has gone on to specialise in all areas of non-contentious law including residential conveyancing, and private client work including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, court of protections applications and advising clients on asset transfer and protection of assets.
